INFO: about me

originally from south africa and a fine art documentary photographer by heart, this is my delight, to capture that which is right before my eyes every day.

no other artist has inlfuenced my work more than the late henri cartier bresson. his ability to capture those rare moments in life, what he called, " the decisive moment," astounded me...images that went beyond the ability of words to describe.

"You see, you feel, and the surprised eye responds..." - henri cartier bresson -

and since then I have been in pursuit of that "decisive moment," whether it is a wedding, on the streets, or in some village. life is a delight and it is my privilege to discover and seize those moments, to slow down, observe and capture some of that indescribable wonder. this wonder and delight has its source in my relationship with Jesus Christ and in Him is all my delight.

otto's personal fine art documentary work has been exibited in numerous galleries worldwide. his wedding work is also frequently featured in the leading bridal magazines in the US. otto is a founding member of BEST OF WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY: the premier invitation-only association of the world’s top wedding photographers. otto was also ranked as one of the TOP 15 fine art wedding photojournalists in the world for 2008 by the AGWPJA, as well as being one of the select group of artists in the world included in the BEST WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHERS IN THE WORLD HOTLIST by Junebug Weddings .

otto makes his home in denver, colorado with his wife lindsay and their daughter samantha.
